Mike - Cable vs xDSL -

My whole take on this is simple. People will use whatever is available and whatever is cheapest. More than likely cable modems are going to the cheapest route for the average consumer and the most available. However, business will probably chose to go with the DSL route. This is due to the "sharing" factor of cable modems. Businesses will already have to share out whatever speed they get to each employee. This would be a major headache with a cable modem where you share a line with everyone in your neighborhood.

The only way DSL will win over a few "average joe" subscribers is if they are the consumers only option or the first to be implemented in an area. For example, I live in a small town that has no chance of affordable high speed access for a few years. I would snatch whatever comes first. My preference would be cable modem, but I'd go with whatever I can. I'm sure there are others who feel the same.

JMHO, of course.

llater,
Tony B

All... VIAX.. I have about 50 stocks on my watch lists, and this one is the ONLY one still up. Amazing.
