Ref: Brazil devaluation and the Fed. You're exactly right. Was in a session yesterday when James Smith, Economist @ UNC-CH (Top WSJ economic forecaster for 2 out of last 3 years) opined exactly what you suggest, i.e. lowering of Fed rates connected with Brazilian devaluation. BTW, he also indicated that if the devaluation was as much as 25% this would flatten global growth towards 0%.

Effect on CMGI and other Inets? Indirect, for sure. Perhaps positive. $ flowing from more traditional equities has to settle somewhere. The inet record for the past few months has to be awfully tempting to many yet, especially if they now have $ on hand.

i was considering reducing my common by 1/3 to brave the brazil crisis but after hearing about gcty's unleashing of a new ecommerce infrastructure - Naah - i don't think so

i'm not going to try and time this right now - like everyone else here, i'll just try to accumulate more when opportunity strikes

even, yesterday - the news re: planetdirect deal with AT&T! - if i'm not mistaken, i believe that might mean that a customized planetdirect page would be the page you would work from if you subscribed to AT&T worldnet as your isp - correct me anyone if i am wrong

good luck, everyone
