A bear market could last for years as it did in the 70's. My gut is that this time it will not go down hard and bounce right back up as it did last year.

Subjectively, with many still having alot of confidence in GREENSPAN, I feel such would reduce the liklihood of a big sell-off, so for now Im more incline of a series of LOWER LOWs and LOWER HIGHs pulling the market down slowly. Many think that GREENSPAN saved the market, but I am taking the contrarian position that such may hurt the market in a more long drawn out fashion. Time will tell.

Im not saying that the MAIN TOP is in yet either, at least not just yet, so there is still a chance for the market to head higher before the TOP arrives. We need to see how far this pullback brings us and how strong the following upswing is, then we will have a better idea of whether the TOP is in.
