Vman: There are many ways to take the Chip production numbers. In the case of magazines, I believe they count 'shipped' copies and not necessarily net purchased copies. I would suspect with the 'disposable' nature of electronics some percentage of the chips are throw aways, even at the phone assembly plant. What percentage, I dont have a guess. Still as you point out, 30 million (+/- X million) is still a healthy number.
