What do you think of that?
I think Clinton made personal mistakes for personal reasons. I don't see anything impeachable about being discrete in your sex life.

But the articles of impeachment don't charge Clinton with perjury in the Paula Jones deposition. They charge him with perjury in the "secret" Starr chamber proceedings investigating the Paula Jones deposition. They charge him with perjury for failing to confess perjury. It's all a bit convoluted for my tastes, if the Jones deposition was such a big deal why did the House vote that one down? It still seems like it all comes down to insufficient cooperation with the Starr inquisition.

Nothing Bob Barr did was illegal, what Bill Clinton did was to commit a felony. What do you think of that?

Well, I think at least it answers the GOP pre-election advertisement question about the Monica scandal -- "What are we going to tell our children?" <G>

So, this is what the Republican parents are now telling their children : "It is OK to commit adultery and lie about it. It is OK to tell lies -- even to your own parents -- unless we take you to court and put you under oath. But make sure that when you are asked about it under oath in court, you don't tell any lies. You don't tell the truth either. You just take the fifth! OK?" ;-)

They make wonderful parents, those "moral" Republicans! Don't they?! ;-)
