Before I quit AMTD I would try the internet first if that was down then I'd call for touchtone trading. If that was down I'd then go the live broker route. You didn't try the touchtone trading first. Might have been faster. And then after all that is done, call 1-800-669-3900 and press #2 to ask them to liquidate your account.

not saying it will happen soon, but imagine being with amtd on the 3rd day of a serious downturn in the market? Back up plan will be to fly to their headquarters --2 hours & $500 flight but could potentially save $20,000---a nightmare i am sure they have talked about. amtd meeting..."traders, we're here today to discuss how to handle upset customers..."

to all: class action suit anyone. their advertising holds them up to be for serious traders. i ask you if serious traders can sustain amtd relationship. suspect we can easily find atty. bet your bottom $ someone will file.
