Hey, tech2, after reading your posts for the last few months, I don't think my stomach is ready for the options market!

That is a smart move LindyBill---options are very risky and add a lot of stress to your life.
I had the good luck in 1998 to make 100 times what I started off with at Jan 1/98 (thanks to MSFT for 75, Dell 20, and Intel 5). I had a great month of December. At this point I have transfered to cash 80 times my initial investment on Jan 1/98. That is why I keep taking big gambles with what I feel I never should have made last year. I am just playing with options----my gambling money.
If I had made money year after year with good gains, I probably would never had tried options.I probably would have followed some asset allocation model of 60%stock and 35% bonds and 5% cash.

I am 25 years from retirement and am just keeping myself away from the casinos by gambling on the markets (the odds are better). However, the wife is starting to bug me about getting out of this time consuming business(options trading) .
I might just pack it in after MSFT's earnings and stick with a normal investment plan.----Got to enjoy life (maybe she will let me go to a casino with no more than $1000 at a time-----twice a year)
