I'm probably going to get justifiably flamed for egregiously giving unasked for advice...

There are a lot of talented and active traders on this thread, yet a large number still seem to be using the non-Level II (for want of a better description) brokers like Schwab.

I have an account with Schwab, and I like the convenience of having a branch near where I live, the checking account, etc. But I use the account for position, not day trading.

I did three trades with MBTrading today, (a couple of which I wish I hadn't done, but that's another story) and the longest wait for the order to appear on the level II screen was 5 seconds.

Like somebody once said last year on the AT APM thread about Schwab, this isn't electronic trading, it's electronic suicide.
