Aurora, IL (October 5, 1998) - Westell Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTL) announced today that it will offer $50 cash back on the purchase of a Westell
SuperVision DSL modem to the first 20,000 eligible Bell Atlantic Infospeed ADSL service customers*. Westell's rate adaptive SuperVision ADSL modems will be
deployed in conjunction with Bell Atlantic's Infospeed ADSL network-wide service offering and will reside at the customers' premises. Westell has already begun
shipping modems to Bell Atlantic, as the Infospeed ADSL rollout begins this month. Westell will also be a participant at Bell Atlantic's press conference and service
demonstration today, at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.
