Marriage as a Partnership in and With Christ

Ecclesiastes 4

9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone:
12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

These verses are not usually related to the marriage relationship but think of the practical application here.
How many Christians fail to utilize fully their partnership with their spouse as an opportunity for teamwork in God's service.
God has indeed set out a structure in the family where according to the bible the man is to take a position of leadership under the headship of Christ. He is therefore accountable for much.
My wife is not only my spouse, but also my friend and prayer partner. We can stand together in agreement before the Lord as we come boldly before His throne of grace. Praying for our children, our families and friends and together assault the very gates of hell if need be. The most feeble of people, the smallest child in the family can be a prayer warrior.
There is tremendous strength in the family unit. For this reason Satan hates it and wishes to destroy it at every opportunity.
Gaurd your marriages jealously. Use them to full advantage where Christ is the first party in a perfect relationship.

John,

thanks for your well thought out answers. I asked because I came from a place that ALMOST would say that the KJV is the only ""authorised"" bible and I don't believe that. It is also a "version". Writtne in the King's english. (which I hardly understand with my Texas drawl and slang) :o)

I used to use a New American Standard, but since I use mostly online now I have not seen it. But I notice that version also says "everyone" rather than without cause.

But what are chances the KJV has mistranslated that? Look at how the Greek Interlinear says verse 22.

From the Greek to English. (But I tell you that everyone being angry with the brother of him liable shall be to the judgement)

that is Zondervans Greek Interlinear. What do you think?

About the fact that it could be translated as everyone includes Jesus I don't think is a good argument cause look at Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

And yet Jesus is without sin, so is that not good?
