Ron, Hey thanks for the post.. Your right, most small companies have very poor HR. I interviewed for a small company before. They appeared extremely unorganized and unprofessional with the interview etc.. I've made a substantial amount of money in the market.. I've always wanted to open my own business. I now have to decide what type of busines I should start.. j

Good idea judge. This should be an interesting subject. I agree with the human resources angle. I come from human resources large high tech companies and have been providing strategic and operational transformation human resources consulting for medium to large corporations for about 4 years now. Actually the five killers for small businesses are discipline, finances, taxes, people and marketing (I put performance in marketing for startups). Easy to mess any of them up! Its not an easy road, but it sure can be fun! Look forward to this thread developing. Patrick
