John,

I'm not really concerned about y2k problems with 1/00 LEAPS. I'm just hoping to maximize the return and minimize any poor timing on my part. Come summer I'll be looking at the new 02's. I'm really concerned about LEAPS on an internet 'anything', but I don't see an end to the mania for a while so AOL is really a LEAP of faith. <g> INTC I'm hoping will continue it's upward trend with earnings revisions and a stock split in 3-6 months.

I still hold CPQ, CSCO, SEG, PFE 1/00 LEAPS. I'm considering holding them to the end then exercising them, at least CPQ & CSCO. I'm not sure of the tax situation with that. I have huge gains one the LEAPS but does that get deferred until I sell the stock? I'll research that when I do my taxes for this year.

>May the lords of Leaps smile on your INTC & AOL!

Either that or the Lord of LEAPS is laughing knowing these will languish. <g>

A question to all: Is Brazil a dip? Or the beginning of a correction? I don't have a clue, but 8% devaluation does not strike me as that serious.
