In the mining juniors they might do that to scare sellers and encourage selling. Maybe that's what was being done here. If there is a huge block at 2 1/4 - it seems they would unload it easier and place less downward pressure buy offering in smaller blocks. I would also expect a lot more action on the threads considering the volume and price increase. Something seems to be up for sure and I would expect it to be good based on the stock action lately. Texas
