I suspect that Dale may be right, and that Sun's valuation is not rational. Sure, SUNW may be cheaper and *more* rational than, say, Amazon.com, but that is not saying much!

Or, put another way, I cannot compellingly make a case for these prices based on valuation; I can only rationalize and compare Sun to other overpriced stocks, and thus I have become a momentum / greater-fool-theory player.

However, as a greater-fool-theory player, I have the security of being high up on the pyramid. My split-adjusted price was under $10, and I have little fear of Sun approaching those levels any time in 1999.
