Bob,

I have nothing against AFCI. It treated me very well in the past (I was lucky enough to get shares at the IPO which I sold long ago - check the start of this thread you'll see several posts from me). I had a long position until recently which I closed out at breakeven in late 1998. I still believe that they can turn the corner as they have a real solid product.

My problem is with the spin/misinformation that is frequently found on this thread so I try to bring some sanity to the discussion. Takeover speculation has been around on this thread forever - it is typical of a once great stock that has been pummeled due to lack of execution.

Likewise I try to point out that xDSL service announcements from RBOCs don't directly do diddly for AFCI since they still don't have any RBOC customers.
