Jenna, COGIF "Cognicase (A Canadian Co. great growth story) has successfully transitioned from a Y2K-conversion provider to a diversified information technology provider".
I agree with your assessment plus TA expert from Financial Post in Toronto expects this stock will run up without much resistance in sight if it breaks above $35 CDN = approx $22.75US . looks real good at this price.

Old favorite NN making strong moves after the Lucent Ascend deal, NN could be a takeover candidate.

Am still holding CMGI, GNET (sold half today @119), CNKT DRTE and VRIO--- any views??
DRTE will be on CNN Saturday 3:30PM "Managing with Jan Hopkins"
Is DRTE reporting earnings tomorrow (JAN 14)??
Thanks N.C.

Jenna,

Do you have the date for COGNF earnings release?

Thanks, Ed

COGIF.. KEA

sorry about the typo.. I had to hurry to my appointment and I posted COGNIF.. (a symbol "merger" between COGNF and COGIF..) I happen to like them both and got their symbols confused.. thankfully I had it right on the watch list..

KEA.. kea is correcting a bit, thankfully, I would like to enter this in the next few days Its earnings date is February 11 before the open (all dates confirmed twice) I've been a stockholder a few years back and I still get their annual reports, so I know just about anything there to know about their financials so if anyone has any further questions please e-mail me.. KEA is an excellent company that still trades at a discount with a 'real' value of 48.. and a growth rate of 35% going forward.. chart still looks good. KEA has been an earnings play for the last 7 quarters..

Strategy that payed off..Timing of the DD sector was good. MXTR, WDC and SEG were posted on this thread in plenty of time for the run ups.. SEG was a 'special' earnings play I reserved for Silicon Investor threaders... Getting out of the internets on time (except for a position in ELNK,VRIO which I don't regret, even added more).. getting into mostly cash and preparing for a new surge of earnings. Getting back into BVSN and GNET and CNTK.. and knowing when to abscond.. Leaving over a few extra points possible gain tomorrow to grab the profit of today.. I would be more careful holding hi-flying internets overnight but I will continue holding earnings plays up until the very last day or two before they report. AMD which I did not play this time around but observed offered very good anticipatory upswing as did MOT and INTC, AMD however will not fare as well after their report and will probably 'suffer' tomorrow.. holding 'volatile' very hi volume stocks like AMD through earnings is not recommended but why would anyone want to if they had 2 or 3 good days of gains on anticipation? To those of you that held YHOO too long, it should really be a valuable educational experience. YHOO was up nearly 200 points since the market gems internet newsletter came out and during the time we 'touted' our internets on this thread, there was ample opportunity to escape with nice rewards without any damage.
