Nice post from the Yahoo Board: by: MindsKeeper (26/M/USA/UK) 28694 of 28697 To say that IRIS is just an extension of their phone business is a very inaccurate assumption. Lets argue this from two directions and see the benefits: 1. If it were just an extension. Theoretically, IFLY will greatly reduce costly variable phone call costs with a limited amount of fixed internet costs. In addition, as the possibility of servicing more than one customer becomes a reality, the benefits rise even more. My guess (and it is only a guess) is that currently a good agent can serve two people at once. As time progresses though and IFLY builds in more automated answers, the amount of actual agent interaction becomes lower and they will be able to serve many more then one or two people at once. Even if your assumption is true, that IRIS is noting more than a new way to take phone calls (which it isn't), the reality is that this new way is much more efficient and cheaper. I will take those improvements any day. 2. Now lets get real for a second. Is IRIS internet? Yes. IT HAS the ability to reach many more people at the touch of a keyboard. IT ALLOWS people to find it through simple searches or even better through a portal deal. IT COMBINES true automation into servicing people. As we heard a few weeks ago on CNBC, one of the hot topics on internet for 99' and ongoing is the interactive feature. Unless I am mistaken, that is exactly where IFLY is, not going. I think they may be a little ahead of the curve on this initiative right now, but when you combine that with why they feel it is necessary (Commission potential 10x as high), I like where that are. I like the fact that they have business orientated - yet cutting edge vision. As with many things visionary, it may take a bit of time to work out the kinks. IT take more time to be discovered. BUT when you are discovered and you have seasoned the technology you are considered WORLDCLASS. After that you may be imitated and followed, but you are the top dog and receive the valuations. Why - because you have the eye of the Street. Unless when CNBC says ‘interactive internet' they are not talking about internet at all (Which maybe you know something I don't, but I doubt it) I would say IRIS IS internet today as the street is planning to define it tomorrow. I like being in that position. This is a very quick rebuttal, many more thoughts hit my brain, which, if you need me to, can expand upon later for your benefit. If PTVL has been $44, what is IFLY worth sometime soon. IFLY IS A 40+ STOCK.
