Lee, you are right, there was a good chance that this would happen, but the market shrugged it off. But now that it has happened and there is virtually no reaction after the initial scare is what really frightens me. It is as if the market is saying that the South American economies are unimportant, and that the large money center banks are unimportant. I think we have an ostrich with our head in the sand stance at this point.

The issue isn't tech stock exposure, its overall market reaction. We could see real liquidity problems emerge which in turn can choke off new tech equipment purchases.

By nature, I am not a bear. I didn't flinch in October of '87, and I didn't blink in Oct of '97, and I didn't even twitch in the late summer of '98, but I'm having spasms now.
