I originally invested in AOL (back in '94) after talking to so many of my "college educated - young professional" friends who were "clueless" about the Internet. Some didn't even own PC's. As time wore on and they kept saying they had to get up on "this stuff" I realized AOL was the perfect solution. All anyone had to do was load a disk, access AOL and they thought they were on the "net". Simple and oh so "high tech". Remember, more than 60% of the world population has never even made a phone call let alone "surfed the net". There are still an enormous number of people out there who will cut their "internet teeth" on AOL. As the more experienced perhaps move onto to direct ISPs and browsers there will be more AOL "nubies" to fill their place. AOL is "training wheels" for the Internet.
