bv, that is a possibility. i am connected to the internet via company lan access but i also have a separate modem line + modem. i currently use that setup for my waterhouse pc trading software, which has been useless the past two mornings due to demand. thomas

Brett/Anyone Hardware Q: I'm building a system for trading with you. For trading purposes, am i best off: 1) Using 56K modem connection? 2) Using cable modem? while i expect cable modem to be faster, in general, i know i have times when system is down...phone seems more reliable, although probably slower.. Also, does anyone know if cable modem input can be split to 2 computers? one for SI, thestreet, etc...the other AB... Any feedback on the incremental value of dow jones news feed? david s
