Scumbria - re: designing for changing targets. You saw my opinion regarding that Sharptooth is NOT delayed beyond Q1, but I came across something interesting reviewing the Q1 conference call. At that time they said that the TOP speed of the K6-2 would be 400 MHz and this would occur in the 4th quarter. I suspect that at that time they also thought the K6-3 would stop at 400.

It seems whatever refinements are in the CXT core design have extended the MHz of the 0.25 generation by at least 50 MHz.
