OT ***** Margin questions
I have been reading about margin. I have an account with DLJ which has margin rights. How is it you are billed for the interest accrued? I understand DLJ's rate is 8.5%. So if I bought 2 thou on margin what would I owe at the end of the month and the end of the year?

If the stock I bought (were strictly talking long position here) on margin goes down 20% will I get a margin call? Or will I only get a margin call when the securities I have borrowed against go below the % stated by the brokerage?

Thanks,
jb

I missed out. Had things to do this morning. The least I would have done was sell puts on two stocks. There will be another opportunity. I feel it in my gut. Brazil was no big deal. Market is high and nervous. Anything will send it down until it gets use to the new level of trading.
