I guess that like an alcoholic, Brazil will have to hit rock bottom before there is a chance of recovery. Like an alcoholic, you can't save those that don't want to save themselves. The world went way out of their way to help rescue Brazil whose politicians have been in denial of the seriousness of their problems and have squandered the opportunity. I have a feeling there will now be a further devaluation and a long recovery. I imagine the buying opportunity will arise when the currency breaks but only for companies which can remain profitable under severely recessionary conditions presumably such as the fixed line telephones.
