Mark -- I am in a blind rush, but I have to ask, what is the date of the most recent data for the short interest? And I mean when was the data reported by those who must reveal their short positions? It comes out what, once a month, right? And the next report is not due till the 27th of Jan.? So I think we have a period from Dec. 8 to Jan. 27 where nobody knows what the short interest is at the moment. As you said, the most recent data from I think Dec. 8 said that short interest in AMZN was at an all time low in December. The shorts are not the key to this stock -- although they have been the sad losers, and have only recently been replaced by the longs -- the current losers.

" Don't be fooled by today's AMZN action."

I'll say the same thing back to you Frank! It aint over till the fat lady sings! I haven't played this bananna once yet.. but I'm wanting to! I like that short interest is down. When a true bear tells me he or she is buying in, I'll get me some puts!-g-

good luck, and remember this is a liquidity driven market.(we don't need no stinking logic) That too shall pass!(with about six cases of exlax)-g-
