When AAPL sold some shares early last year, they had a huge eps...and were rewarded for it (although their earnings were pretty good anyway..but still not above the "whisper").
I don't see why 9 months ago this was a good thing and now it is seen as a negative.
The Street is like a woman. I can never figure her out. She makes the rules as she goes along. You never know what's in favor until it's out of favor again.

Sorry ladies.

How will the one time EPS gain be figured into tomorrows valuations - will the market see the .95 or the .78, and also does anyone know if the estimates included the one time charge. Finally, weren't the last quarter results affected by a profit from the sale of ARM holdings as well? I remember reading about it in the last 10 k.

If she maintains the same PE multiple and we use a rolling Q298 -Q199 EPS diluted, then the stock should hit a price of up to $53.

Someone please shoot this down as I need to figure out when to excercise/sell my options.

Ali
