Joey,
AMD missed because their ASPs were low...$89. They sold 5.5 million chips, up from 3.8 last quarter and 800k higher than estimated by AMD earlier in the quarter (4.7).
Problem was that they couldn't make enough of the higher ASP chips.
On the other hand, they so,d a lot more chips than first estimated.
Some money might flow from AMD to Intel tomorrow but who knows the effect. I'd say no effect.
