I'm curious. You said some orders take longer to get to the floor... Does this mean that even though I place an order at 9:36, my broker can jack around with the order for an hour (for whatever reason and without contacting me) then finally get the order to the floor? What can cause a simple market order to be delayed so long?

Ameritrade was giving me times when the order actually got to the MM, not when I placed the order...that was their concern. The reality here is that you are right...your first order got executed SIGNIFICANTLY later than your second...which means it got lost in the shuffly or something. Get on the phone and tell them what happened. Ameritrade got back to me within 4 or 5 hours with an improved fill...their M/O was to respond within 24 hours.

I find that if you gripe enough, they'll work with you. In this case, it sounds like you have a legitimate argument.

Anyone else ever have this happen?
