X,

I didn't mean to make light the serious discussion of abortion. Actually, I am very uncomfortable saying the word vagina. With my daughters, we still use the greek word for "little-birdie" (pu-laki).

Anyway, the commercials make it seem like it is no big deal to come in and have an abortion - and you don't even have to tell your parents. I do not think that it is a coincidence that these commercials are usually preceded or followed by ladies night commercials where girls in skirts-n-heels drink free all night at the popular night clubs. The message is get drunk-fuck-and if you have the misfortune of getting pregnant, get an abortion.

The HOPE clinic for women is an abortion mill in Granite City, Illinois, pushing out mounds of baby flesh in stockpiles that rival the steel mills in the same city. It is an industry. Don't kid yourself that these places are set up and run for the compassion of women. They have financial goals and objectives, and gross margins to maintain by sustaining volumes. Their web-site mentions that they do vasectomies for men. I would bet it represents less than 1% of their product line - which coincidently includes a "morning-after" service for the late night crowd.

Tom

PS a web search on Vagina envy brought up very little info
