Howard. DRAM prices (I assume that is what you mean) won't rise and, except in very rare instances, ever do. If chip prices remain stable for an extended period chip makers can make lots and lots on money.

Asian DRAM fabs are obsolete and cannot be magically restarted. If you read some of my previous posts, you should be able to understand why this is the case. I think that your views are historically accurate, but I think you need to reassess.

BTW, whose earnings estimates are they?

howard, in july of 97, these analysts said mu would make $2-$4 in 1998. mu lost gonja bucks. so, three months out and they were all dead wrong. what makes ANYBODY believe they have a clue for 12 months out?
