Dale,

What would you expect from someone who works for a notorious IOM short seller.. David Rocker. He has never had anything good to say about IOM and never will, it doesn't matter what the reality may be of the matter.

I guess his comment could also apply to Rocker Partners.

Ben A.

Marc Cohodes, an analyst with Rocker Partners in New York, said the OEM channel represents a dead end of low profit margins. He said the market for new storage devices is saturated and Iomega has brought Click! to market too late with the consumer digital camera business now three years old.

What do you expect an analyst with Rocker Partners to say? Outside of, as I recall, the Tiger Fund (that went bankrupt in 1996 after losing over $500 million shorting Iomega) and Meyer Berman, David Rocker is the biggest shorter of Iomega that I know of!

Notice the "timing" of this gloom and doom scare-tactic "announcement"....just before options expiration! What's new!!!

Until Iomega posts convincing, sustainable, predictable earnings quarter after quarter.....IMHO, a lot of average investors will be unnerved into selling their shares because of the seeds of doubt always sewn by these bozos at the most advantageous time for the shorters!

Dave

Dale,

A follow-up to my last post regarding the Rocker Partners "news" release.

I can tell you this much. Between Salomon Smith Barney (who recently initiated coverage on Iomega with a 12-18 month price target of $11), one of the biggest brokerages on Wall Street and the "always astute" Rocker Partners, somebody is DEAD WRONG! and really wrong!!!

It simply galls my *ss how these maggots/spin doctors have relentlessly tried every single trick in the book to make Iomega look bad since late 1995 in order to protect their huge short posttions.....all the way from "cooking the books" innuendos to several buyout rumors to pronouncements that the Zip drive is a "fad" product (one of David Rocker's favorite little sayings). Whatever they can dream up that may look plausible to an unsuspecting investor. Some "fad" product....with over 20 million Zip drives shipped since March of 1995, I believe that the Zip drive is the fastet growing computer peripheral in history, far outdistancing the growth of the CD-ROM.

We'll see how right these bozos are in less than a month,

Dave

>> He said the market for new storage devices is saturated and Iomega has brought Click! to market too late with the consumer digital camera business now three years old.<<

Doesn't make any sense at all - only now is the consumer market for digital cameras taking off (I refused to buy a camera that is only good to take photos for the web - now finally they are half way acceptable) so the timing is actually very good.

<<Marc Cohodes, an analyst with Rocker Partners in New York, >>

When will these guys give it a rest? Isn't there any other stocks these guys can follow? They've been after this company for almost 4 years and still spewing the same crap, whether it's 300mm in sales or 1.7 Billion.

It is very poor that no where in this "news" piece is it mentioned that Rocker Partners are shorters.

<''They don't have much and they don't have much going for them,'' he said>

A high school comment here (any High Schoolers reading this, no offense). How unprofessional.

Dale, I just read through the seven responses to you on the Rocker "spin" FUD piece. We rest our case! Dale, you wouldn't be short a few shares of IOM would you? Just noticed that many of your posts have had some negative IOM content. If not, then I am sorry to have brought it up. Mel
