Don't know about Datek. My acct. with E-Trade was just activated on Monday. I'll start using it tomorrow, on second thought I think I'll cover that short at the open and take the rest of the week off, this volatility is giving me chest pains...

Re: Datek Datek hasn't been too bad in fact getting much better lately. Bought 6 of 7 stocks yesterday at a cheap price. The thing we really like about Datek is that it automatically updates your acct. with every buy and sell that goes through and you know automatically what has been bought or sold by opening your acct. We also use Dreyfus just so we have 2 accts. in case 1 is giving us fits. Someone recommended this a long while back and we are glad to have 2 accts. to play with on crazy days like today. Datek has been pretty god. Tried to call them yesterday and had to wait on hold forever but you'll get that with any company when the price swings like it did and people are asking why they didn't get their buys or sells in when the price hit them!
