Your argument would work if the entire nation elected Lott and DeLay, but we did not. Maybe if DeLay was a rhodes scholar and the nations youngest governor I might have a different opinion. But he was someone with a below avg educational background that chose to make a life in Midland Texas. Which would be ok if he didnt try to push his priorities on my life. Same thing with Lott - my cat is smarter than he is. Show me one thing, one thing that a leading conservative republican has done that is impressive. Most didnt even have what I consider to be gainful empolyment before they became right wing zealots.
