Scumbria,

<AMD earnings up 1500% in just three months!!!!>

Unfortuantely, WS was expecting more. You do realize that this is all about how you perform relative to expectations, not to a 1 penny quarter <g>.

Intel exceeded all expectations. AMD disappointed all expectations. See the difference?

Scumbria,

Re: "AMD earnings up 1500% in just three months!!!!"

There has to be a "pony" in here somewhere. <ggg> Scumbria, how about
these comments. -->

"Advanced Micro shares dipped to 27-5/8 from a New York Stock Exchange
closing price of 31-5/8 after the company reported fourth quarter earnings
of 15 cents a share, reversing a nine cent loss in the comparable 1997 quarter,
but shy of the First Call estimate of 19 cents."

OR

"it was hampered by production problems in making enough of its K6
microprocessors at 400 megahertz."

OR

"For the 1998 fiscal year, AMD said its loss widened to $103.9 million,
or 72 cents a share, from a loss of $21 million, or 15 cents a share, in 1997."

Make It So,
