DP, SF What could have been done if Brazil had devalued earlier. (Sic, easy talkin' today). But they could have spared the skyhigh interest rates which aren't affordable, especially with the peg. Now they economy is shrinking and reeling under their high interest and tax burden...For which's sake? As I mentioned earlier, I'm everything but happy with it, as the people suffer,it compares to our country's neighbours, which 've had similar problems (the eastern bloc). To be promptly "solved" by the IMF, as we know. C.
