<<< Don, how long will the bear market last >>>

Hello Iqbal,

Thought I'd post this to show the sentiment on most SI threads this morning. Instead of seeing a trading opportunity, most were panicky and selling. Professional traders love to see this, for it represents one of the most lucrative day-trading situations. Learned along time ago those "tails" on the chart's represent pure fear or greed in the highest sense.

Glad to hear you made out well on your puts. This market is beginning to see some holes, but it will be hard to take down anytime soon. Inflows are very strong, and earnings are coming in well IMO. Bulls are fully in control as evidenced by today's rally.

Today's action conveyed to me the need to have tight stops, as volatility can bring you to your knees. I like your philosophy of shifting strikes to minimize risk. My work suggests that we are higher into April, with a tradable rally on any dip back to 50ema.

Good to see such clear minds prevailing on "IDEA"! It's so apparent to see the "groupthink" mentality prevailing on most SI threads. Many of the self-proclaimed gurus on SI showed their true colors again this morning by announcing the end of the bull. I've never seen such myopic behavior in all my life. How do these guys stay in business when they fight the trend with such might? Thank goodness SI has no margin calls! I hope many lurker's have found a home here and seen that "IDEA" has no pre-conceived notions. Your work along with the rest of the thread is so enlightening in a world of Jerry Favors'!

Did you see where big internets were down-graded after the bell? Question for you is do you see this money shifting to big-cap techs, of dispersed more equally between RUT---------LRG Cap's? I'm sticking to my assertion that RUT will lead this market higher this year! Bears need to look at the charts of ATML,WDC,CRUS,LRCX,QNTM,AFLX,IFMX,DIMD,IDTI and hundreds of others! Classic example is DLGC. Owned heavily by Kopp, PE is 10.....trading at significant discount to market and group! Even better is the chart... just broke out last week and pulled back to support on low-volume the last few days, Chart at bottom!

This market will be so beautiful when it broadens! Bears won't know what hit them. Then again, trading on SI is easier on the pocket-book <ggggggggg>

Be Good,

Kevin

Good evening, IKE. For me, the reason why I post on IDEA and have always come back to your thread is because I learn more here than on any other thread. You give your unconditional time and talent of most loyal altruist and it is most appreciated by me and I'm sure all others who read your posts. Bull or bear, people flock to IDEA to get analysis of the market. I know IKE is the best as I have seen you put to the test and survived many a fires only to come out like diamond from blackened coal. I do not trade futures market and it is days like yesterday and today that only nimble traders can make killing on wild swings. Further, I would venture to say that most people who read this thread don't trade futures but still look forward to your "core stocks and option plays"as well as your support and resistance targets of key indices. I do not have proof of this. Just a hypothesis.... . ...... Nevertheless, you help all of us with clear, concise and cogent short term targets in path towards long term direction. ... Lord help us if for some reason "mother bull" somehow picks up major conflicting and contradicting signals and shares thoughts with IDEA universe that we are heading back to September supports or even further vision of prolonged bear market. But I am also confident nonetheless that IKe will be able to change direction far quicker and with greater assault than "Queen Abbey"..... I recognize that this is predominantly bullish thread and it is tribute to IKE's global universe and new age paradigm economy... I do not know where you find or see all this doom and gloom on all these other threads. And I by no means want to be labeled in this "sky is falling" category. Although I venture to say that most have already put me in that group. Maybe I am what Edward Yardeni calls "an alarmist" and "white lighthouse" at shoreline. Maybe I am "au contrare" indicator for some. Point is, I feel it is necessary to be able to express my thoughts on up or downs even though you know I have been more bearish bent. There is a difference b/w conveying "warning signs" in market like Dec 23 and rational reasons why vs "crying wolf" for no reason at all. Even in spite of these warning signs I still said market was going to new highs and it did. Further, one can still be long and in stocks for trade purposes, or have buy and hold all weather stocks and still have bearish bent for market. I am losing on C, and WFC, but still up on EGGS, MTC, SLB et al. I have also bought and sold EGRP at 27 and 30 3/4 and sold at 61 and 55 before split was announced. There have been other winners and losers. I choose to not post my trades although I will share stocks that I like or are trying to get in and get out of from time to time.... IQBAL, what I am trying to say is this: If I can't express myself freely, bullish or bearish (and I am first to admit more of the later), and have perfectly logical or rational reasons why I feel the way I do even though the conclusions are wrong or don't square with bulls , then I need to be told that by you or OJ or someone else. And if my posts are interpreted to be one of "gloom and doom", than you or OJ or someone else should tell me so. I am man enough to understand that my posts may pollute or convolute you or this thread and that it is time for me to leave. I have utmost respect for you and this thread and if I am bad apple that spoils the bunch than bad apple must go. With sincere respect and gratitude.... JT
