Doug, lower pc prices certainly contributed to the lower TCO. However, the fact than many more employees have home pcs also helps the training process. You don't have to spend two sessions teaching them where the "on" button is. <G> It is also a function of more pcs at the same co and more networking and less stand alones. However, I still find the total cost somewhat outrageous. I am not doubting the #s. I am just shocked by them. No wonder there is so little productivity gain net with IT investments. I cannot believe it has much to do with IT support standardization. IT support and maintenance at most cos. is still The Keystone Kops. <G> MB
