Steve RE:"Well, I was under the impression that the 2-week shutdown is forced vacation. If you don't have the vacation time to take, you either go negative, or you take leave w/o pay. So it's not exactly a gift to their employees"

The company's fixed costs were continuing to run. Those two weeks cost more as a percentage of profits than any other mistake they may have made. The stockholders took it on the chin today. With the stock closing after hours @ $5.00 less than the day's high, how many Millions does that work out to for a two week vacation? I lost more money today than a two week vacation would have cost me and I worked during the holidays to keep the competitors at bay. I only got 3 days off.

But what do I know?
