I am not aware of any direct relationship between PTSC and MWAR. After reading yesterday's announcement about the new alliance between PTSC and Espial, I went to Espial's website and found a reference to an existing alliance between Espial and MWAR and wondered whether yesterday's announcement had negative implications for WIND. I have another concern which I'm hoping someone with technical knowledge can address. On 11/3/98 PTSC issued a press release (I'll provide the hyperlink if someone can tell me how to do it) in which it announced that Agranat Systems had ported its web server technology directly to PTSC's microprocessor, which it touted as being significant because it "eliminates the license cost and memory requirements of using a real-time operating system." The press release goes to say that if a customer needs an RTOS, Agranat's software can also run on top of VxWorks. What is the threat that WIND's (or any) RTOS will not be necessary in the internet-enabled devices of the future?
