Andrew, when I was in the Little League, we had fund raisers, too. My town only had 4 teams in the beginning and a lot of enthusiasm. When we got the tickets to sell, the fathers of the team members would pile 4 to 6 of us in a car and drive us to a designated neighborhood. Each kid would get dropped off at alternate intersections and they had "their"streets to work. I called on 100 houses before lunch and so did my teammates. It became a contest as to who could ring the most door bells and, of course, sell the most tickets. In the afternoon we were carted to another neighborhood and the processed repeated, but I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't as enthusiastic in the PM as I was in the AM but we hit a lot of houses none the less.

How many houses are on the street that you live on? In my section of town we average 4 to 5 houses per block, each side, 7 blocks long.
If a youngster just did my street, 3 dozen plus houses could be visited. Not too big of a deal. So 36 contacts per youngster is not too much to ask. And the over achievers could clean house by doing several streets.

Best, Joe

In my opinion it is highly unlikely that every league member cannot sell at least 1 card. But just to be conservative lets assume 800,000 out of 900,000 players sell 1 card each. That would be 800,000 cards * $10 = 8 million with 4 million going to TSIG. Lets face it if the kids cannot sell at least one card a family member will buy it from them or take it to work and sell it to a coworker. I know when I was in high school I would always get my parents to help out during fundraisers and they always came through for me. So in conclusion you can pretty much pencil in a very conservative minimum of 4 Million for the first run of Babe Ruth League fundraiser. This is just my opinion and I am sure most of you have your own estimates on how this deal will work out.
