Hi Clint, nice going with getting in early on some nice longs. Wow wish I was around but I was sleeping peacefully. Got to readjust my waking hours. I tend to sleep later and later each night till it gets quite ridiculous. Oh well, at least by the time I woke any panic selling was long gone so I couldn't do anything stupid. But man, if I could have bought some cheap dell emc or msft options I would have made a years worth of salary in 30 minutes! Still in my dell options because I believe it will run quite a bit further but I should have sold covered calls on them and then bought them back if I was any good. I agree that tomorrow and Friday look very strong, at least for the hi-techs. Maybe the net insanity will ease a little here, and let the usual suspects (dell emc msft etc.) regain their familiar leadership position. I think that would be extremely healthy for the market in general. I should have grabbed some fast puts on Monday, since in retrospect that was an internet topping blow-off day. On total crap like dbcc, could have made a quick double or triple. Incidentally I am still in the cheap really lousy internets, late as usual, trying to ride them since I missed out on most of them these past few weeks. I had a couple but they basically didn't go anywhere. This feels risky as I think the internet craze (or rather this phase of the craze) is within weeks of its end. I may turn around soon and go short on them. I believe in only aol and yhoo. Incidentally I think cpq may be the surprise internet play of '99. I'm looking to get in soon, but my cash is all tied up on navr and cych and other junk that I really really despise but am playing nevertheless. Let's see if we can get a 50 point rise in the Nasdaq tomorrow. One thing I have noticed is that Brazil SE Asia etc is all old news and we have immunity now. The market only gets really frightened once by all these kinds of stories. I see Japan and Greenspan raising rates as the only two things that can really cause an about face here.
