Joe, thanks for posting & I agree. What can I say, waiting on a back end product aint for the faint of heart. From what little Ive talked to those that have such good jobs imo, Ive noticed that folks who work with such a network have eliminated certain pieces of such to enable xdsl functionally be it a bit @ a time or not.

Tell us more & Im sure someone more knowledgeable will jump in. There are a few folks here that still do from time to time. Id love nothing more than to see several of you teaching us avid lurkers.

Dug

Joe:

Have you seen or heard anything about the new line testing product from Tollgrade (TLGD) used for qualifying loops for high speed service?

TIA,

Charlie

Joe,

As a tech for a Bell, please give me your opinion on the following example.

Half of Bellsouth 22 million phone lines orginate from a DLC. If a DLC solution becomes readily available, would you expect the following major benefit?

All the copper pairs on the other side of the cabinet are clean of bridge taps and load coils.

Is that not a big deal?
