art,

I think the crisis is already over. The article said,

<if prices in the field averaged $10 a barrel>.

Haven't we already passed that price? If we have, why does the government need to buy anything? If we haven't, what good will the purchase do?

Rememeber, anything the government does for you comes with a very high price tag. If anyone 'gives' you anything, at least under these circumstances, they will want something in return.

If you are depending on the government for your very survival, shouldn't you be rethinking what you do for a living? Just a reality check, not meant to be critical.

By the way, this is a positive sign in a negative sort of way. If things have reached the point where a government official notices, the trend has probably already reversed. It looks as if oil prices have already risen at least 30% over their lows. That will a lot to rectify matters in the oil patch.

Regards,

Jack

Art,

A story that aired on a local news channel "Springfield Mo." showed an increase in gasoline price of around .10 over the last week. This can't hurt either. Someone thinks we've passed the bottom and moving upward.
