Dennis, Well, this Chris Byron makes Auric Goldfinger look like a scholar. This guy must be connected to a rino. After reading the opinion expressed by Mr. Byron, I was compelled to e-mail him the following response: Mr. C. Byron, After reading your opinion about Osicom, it is not surprising to find that you are a MSNBC contributor. Among the Financial News programs, MSNBC clearly has the distinction to be in a class by itself. The worst by far. As you can see, I do not want this message to get lost in polite words, therefore, in an attempt to be helpful to you, I am being blunt. Just today, one of MSNBC regular while trying to describe DWDM technology, was having a hard time in just pronouncing the words describing the technology alone. It was obvious that this poor soul had absolutely no clue as to what this DWDM technology is all about. After reading your opinion, it is obvious that as for as knowledge, understanding, and insight is concerned, you actually come from the bottom of that barrel called MSNBC. You are so ignorant about Osicom, yet you apparently feel no shame in expressing your opinion about it. Well, you are in for a big surprise. Osicom has come under organized attacks by shorts from time to time. These are not legitimate shorts who target overpriced equities. These are shorts who like to make their living by spreading misinformation about small developing companies that do not have resources to adequately defend themselves. Most recent one came on January 4, 1999. I am assuming that you are not associated with such an effort. But if you were, it would not be very surprising to me. Some people in the news business are essentially prostitutes. Actually, a lot worst. I have a funny feeling about you. I am just wondering what the going rate is for such services. The main reason I am writing to you is this. I want to tell you very bluntly (it may sound rude, but that is not the intent) that you are a complete ignorant as far as Osicom is concerned. You have no idea why people are buying this stock and bidding it up higher and higher. You have no clue what a Metro DWDM is. You have absolutely no Idea what Net+Arm networking chip is. A hint for you: ELON does the same thing that just one of the division (NETsilicon) of Osicom does. But with one difference, NETsilicon does it ten time better. Go look at the valuation of ELON. Or may be I should ask you this. Have you ever heard of ELON? As I said, you are in for a big surprise. You may get the first clue after the first quarter earnings are announced in May 1999. Or may be as soon as the 4th. quarter results, when they are announced next month. But then at that time all the idiots in the world will know it too. So you will not be alone. Now, if Osicom brings in a revenue of $30 to $40 mil., as compared to $19 mil. for the last quarter, for the 4th. quarter, will you be man enough to write a new opinion admitting that you were wrong and that you were ignorant. Somehow I do not think so. If this message has motivated you to learn about Osicom, you should start by reading a report prepared by Forrester Research. In that report they indicated that CSCO will need to acquire CIEN or Osicom. If that opens up your eyes, then you can ask me where to look next for additional information. However, if you indeed are a part of the group of shorts who like to make a living by spreading misinformation, and are finding the stock running away from you, I would suggest just one thing. Do not loose more time. Cover first thing in the morning. Hope you see the light, for your own sake. Afaq Sarwar
