Maxwell - Re: "AMD EPS increased 1500% from Q3 to Q4."

Finding solace in the trivia ?

AMD earned $22 million and Intel earned $2,100 MILLION ($2.1 BILLION)

How does that sound ?

This sure was a KICK ASS ROCK 'N ROLL QUARTER for AMD !

Paul

Maxwell - Your 55 cents/share estimate - don't AMD Fab 25 Thin Film Engineers get any information on business conditions ?

Apparently not.

Maybe you aren't invited to the "important" meetings !

Maxwell,

Re: "AMD EPS increased 1500% from Q3 to Q4"

Maxwell, you might want to read this article before "celebrating" ... something
about production problems at the MegaFlop (tm PREngel). <ggg>

biz.yahoo.com

"AMD's 4th-qtr earnings fall short due to production problems

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan 13 (Reuters) - Computer-chip maker Advanced Micro
Devices Inc. (NYSE:AMD - news) reported fourth-quarter earnings that fell
short of analyst forecasts because of production problems, sending its shares
tumbling in after-hours trading.

Although the scrappy chipmaker had made substantial progress since its huge
loss last year, it tripped again in the fourth quarter because it couldn't
churn out enough of the faster K6 II chips.

And a great quote -->

''This was not a good quarter in terms of execution,'' said analyst
Mark Edelstone of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in San Francisco.
''Intel is just humming along and AMD cannot afford to louse up its manufacturing.''

I couldn't have said it better myself. <ggg>

Make It So,
Yousef
