Dale >>I wonder what Jodie will do with the drive inventory? Does he plan to sell them, auction the whole lot off, or will he simply dump them in the trash? I can't imagine he has any intention of continuing to produce the SyQuest drives.<<

I don't expect IOM to continue production of SparQ, after all SyQuest
couldn't make a profit from them and I wouldn't expect anyone else to either.
The excess drive inventory has to be put into circulation and I expect that
they will be sold at bargain prices, " as is ". I would then expect the venture to
give an accelerated return by improving the margin on the disks using a demand
pull production model. I once bought out a competitor and the thought of
such an opportunity gets my attention, the right set of circumstances
can offer no better buy. I suspect that their legal claims of patient infringement
accommodate the acquisition and further that the ownership of intellectual rights will
expedite the purchase of Malaysia properties.
