You mean things could get slower? I see TCI has the same reputation as every other cable company: "This may come as a surprise to customers grumbling about TCI's bad service and paltry choice of channels."

AOL weakens its case against AT&T/TCI. This article describes AOL partnering with Bell Atlantic to compete against cable modems. Isn't that the definition of competition?
