Shalom, How many others recognize that there are two edges to controlling or more appropriately "monitoring" the cult issue? Or the U.N. supposedly putting into international law that children could be designated wards of the U.N. if they are deemed "in need of protection" in any country. Protecting children sounds good on the surface but protect them from what? War torn areas, starvation or any teachings contrary to a prophetic future one world government? Looking into Jim Jones and the Jonestown massacre there was much more at work other than a multitude of people duped in by a cult leader. Why on earth would a relatively insignificant small time guy attract such people as Governor Jerry Brown, Rosalyn Carter representing her husband, and a host of other politicians and religious leaders? Jones was preaching another gospel and had people praying to him. With the international coverage given to his crimes and this massacre the implication made was that Jones was a bible believing fundamentalist which he was not. Any Christian retreat would become suspect. Several books written on the subject have indicated this was not the random act of a madman but well orchestrated. Assassinations took place afterwards of those who made efforts to expose what was transpiring. Jeannie Mills and her family were killed after she authored "Six Years with God" in 1980. Shalom, you are one hundred percent on the mark with what you have said regarding secular watchdogs and cults. However they must be monitored by law enforcement agencies for obvious reasons and Satan being the deceiver that he is will utilize everything at his disposal to hinder the true gospel at the same time. Many is the time that good laws are utilized to work his evil devices. Our duty is to keep presenting the original and like you said God will call His own. I have only been perusing the net for a year now. I see it's potential connection to bigger and better things and also to greater evil which is why I posted that link. It can be a world wide evangelistic tool and a recruiting ground for the enemy as well. May God's hedge be about you as He guides your every step. You appear to be one in the gap my friend.
