Hisham, I never have had a problem with Mory's technical leadership. His list of accomplishments are obvious, with the purchase of Cascade at the top of the list.

But I cringe every time he appears on camera. It is partly his thick accent. Lets face it, if he appears on national TV, and his audience can't understand him, that reflects poorly on the company.

And it goes further than that. He has always had a difficult time "pitching" like Chambers can do, and McGinn too. Accent aside, the CEO, imo, must be a company's top salesman. Its not his accent that holds him back here. Eckhard Pfieffer (sic) would be a good example of a CEO with a heavy accent who is a top pitchman.

Not sure about you, but I always felt more comfortable listening to Ashby than Mory.

Gary

Exactly. However marketing BS still hypnotizes too many ...

BTW a similar dispute took place when Andy G. stepped down and
Craig B. became the new Intel CEO. There are still too many folks around that rate someone by the school he went to, by the accent he has (or has not) and, ... well , the list can continue.

I thought this kind of discrimination is more typical of Europe where everybody talk their little funny language, but it looks like also you guys in the US have still a long way to go.
