I have a question for the thread: what about ALYA and what they bring to the Echelon table? Why is the company being "ommitted" from your discussions? Happy investing and God Bless

This concept of data synchronization doesn't really apply to operating networks. It applies to PC based applications, where you want to share data, e.g. a salesman who goes on the road with his laptop, adds 2 new customers to the corporate database, (only his local copy, though), and then returns to the office. Someone at the office has added 3 other new customers as well. Synchronization software will update both the offices and the salesman's database with all 5 new entries.

Since LON's are real time monitor/control systems, there is only one real "data source" - the real time values coming from the LON. If some PC software stores historical data, then there can be synchronization issues, but usually not, since the only "person" who can add values is the data collection program receiving LON data.
