U.S. Department of Defense has chosen Spectrum to supply 'C6x-based DSP products and digital radio modules for several contracts under one significant, ongoing program. Comments on announcement The DOD contract again gives credability to Spectrums products as they can buy from anyone. The margins on MAC is typically higher than oem. The fact that the DOD is upgrading to Spectrum soft radio bodes well for this vertical market as they have much higher standards and specifications than the telco industry. Perhaps some of those with short horizons will think again as the news from Burnaby is just starting IMO. Regards Norden
